Green Lane ‘The Village’ Architect Competition

In 2010 McCaul’s initiated a design competition for our Green Lane ‘The Village’ scheme. The brief was to provide a high quality design that respected the site and the mature trees which form a significant physical feature. Architectural practices from London, Dublin and Manchester were invited and the competition was won by Brazil Lohan of Dublin. Their scheme incorporates a terrace of 3 stories with the main living areas featured on the first floor opening out onto an outdoor terrace and the mature trees which form the site boundary. Facing the terrace are detached houses and a gate house which acts as hub at the site entrance. Overall the development has received a great critical response and is to feature in several award competitions.
